We collect two kinds of information.

Information you give us directly when you fill in a form, volunteer, partner, or donate. This can include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, the content of your message, and details about how you would like to be involved.

Information collected automatically when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used.

Donations are processed by our third-party payment processor, Zeffy. Your full payment card number is entered directly with that processor and is never stored on our servers. The processor handles card data under the PCI-DSS standard.

We do retain a record of your donation — name, contact details, amount, and date — because we are required to issue receipts and to keep accurate financial records for IRS reporting and annual filing.

If you set up a recurring donation, you may cancel it at any time by contacting us at the address below.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We share information only with service providers who help us operate — our payment processor, email provider, and website host — and only to the extent they need it to perform that service. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.

Donor names are only listed publicly, in materials such as annual reports, with your express consent. You can decline recognition and remain anonymous.

This site uses cookies to keep the site working properly and to gather anonymous usage statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or for as long as we are legally required to retain it. Donation and financial records are retained in line with IRS record-keeping requirements.

You may ask us to provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message, or by contacting us directly.

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. Where minors take part in our youth or trades programs, we collect information through a parent or guardian with written consent.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will always show when it was last revised.

You agree to use this site lawfully, and not to attempt to disrupt it, gain unauthorized access to it, or use it to send unsolicited or harmful material.

Donations to Project Dandelion are voluntary. As a 501(c)(3) organization, donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; we will provide a written acknowledgement for your records.

Refunds: Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us promptly at projectdandelionsaginaw@gmail.com or 989-992-9096. We will review the request in good faith and, when appropriate, coordinate any refund through our payment processor.

Recurring donations continue until cancelled. You may cancel at any time by contacting us.

Volunteering, training, and on-site participation may require a separate agreement, waiver, or background check. Those documents govern participation and are provided separately. Nothing on this website creates an employment relationship.

The Project Dandelion name, logo, and the content of this site are owned by Project Dandelion unless stated otherwise. You may not reproduce them for commercial purposes without written permission.

This site may link to other organizations. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we do not operate.

This website and its content are provided on an “as is” basis, without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information on it is complete or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Project Dandelion is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website.
